A message from Ken Kertesz, NASLBC Secretary Treasurer

Brothers:

The NASLBC 2012 meeting will be held from March 18th through the 20th, 2012. March 18th is the travel day and the only activity planned that day at present is an evening reception. Brother Tim Smith has scheduled the following two days for meetings. Plan on a full day for the 20th, but if you must depart early, try and make it as late as possible.

The agenda is not final but will follow our usual pattern. Please bring business casual dress for meetings, with at more formal look with tie and jacket for a group photo and individual photos for the website.

We will convene at the Loews New Orleans Hotel. The group room rate is $179.00 nightly. When this rate was negotiated, it included some concessions and amenities specific to our group. Please make your reservation under our group code so that we may meet our contract terms which includes a minimum number of rooming nights. After the cutoff date of February 18th, room availability can not be assured.

The hotel does not offer shuttle service form the airport so you are free to make your own travel arrangements. The hotel is unionized and right in the French Quarter. The weather should be mild, with a light jacket sufficient for outdoor excursions.

Please remember that in order to offset meeting costs over and above any sponsorship, we must apply the $50.00 assessment for each Associate officer or family member that joins us at official social functions. The assessment can be paid at the meeting, after the meeting or you can pay in advance. If they cancel, the assessment will be returned.
