Craig Gilchrist is the Chairman of the Montana State Legislative Board. Craig began his career in 1974 starting in the Maintenance of Way and in the fall of the year as a Brakeman. In the following year he transferred to the craft of Fireman and was promoted to Engineer in 1976.

Craig was one of the founding charter members of BLET Division 298 in Glasgow when it was founded in December of 1979 after splitting from the BLET Division in Havre.

Craig was elected to State Legislative Board Delegate in 1990 and became the Chairman in 1996. He and his wife Jane have been married since 1977 and have two children and one grandchild. His current hobbies are golf and woodworking.
