Greg Powell is the Michigan State Legislative Chairman and Legislative Representative for Division 920. In this position Brother Powell works on issues dealing with health and safety in the state of Michigan for the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen.  Brother Powell played a major role in creating the Michigan State Legislative Board. Since then he has help pass legislation for the members in Michigan. Greg was instrumental in getting the Legislative Board affiliated with the Teamster Joint Council. 

Brother Powell started his railroad career September, 1970 as a Laborer in the Roundhouse for the Grand Trunk Western where he became Local Chairman for the laborers.

In 1971 Greg enlisted in the US Army and served our country one year in Vietnam. In 1978 he became a Fireman and was promoted to Engineer in 1983 for the GTW and has held a union office since 1986.

Brother Powell resides in Waterford, Michigan and is married to Kristie and has one son named Adam.
